CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

We kindly invite short oral lectures and poster presentations on the mentioned topics. The plenary lectures are delivered by invited speakers. Plenary lectures as well as selected oral communications will be published in a special dedicated issue of Phytochemistry Reviews. The manuscript should be prepared according to the instructions for authors (http://www.springer.com) and should be submitted after the meeting (deadline 30 November 2019).

RULES
  • The meeting’s official language will be English
  • Each registered participant will be entitled to submit 1 abstract, for a poster or an oral presentation.
  • Before abstract submission the author should proceed with the Online Registration.
  • After registering, you will receive an e-mail with the Code to access the abstract submission tool in your Personal Area (https://chemistry.pt/eventos/inscricao.php?eid=53&ln=en)
  • In the Personal Area (https://chemistry.pt/eventos/abstract.php?eid=53&ln=en) you will be able to submit your abstract(s) and replace the submitted abstract(s) at anytime until the deadline for abstract submission.
  • For each abstract you should indicate the other authors and the preferred type of presentation (short oral lectures and poster presentations).
  • If you don’t receive an e-mail with the confirmation of the abstract(s) submission, please contact us.
  • All abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee. If not selected for a short lecture, these abstracts are automatically selected for poster presentation and the decision on the way of contribution will be announced no later than three weeks after the abstract submission deadline.
  • Successfully submitted abstracts will be acknowledged with an electronic receipt.
  • Abstracts will be made available in electronic form for the conference.

ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

The abstracts must be prepared according to the following instructions. Please note that all the abstracts have to be submitted electronically according to the given instructions. Submission of hardcopy abstracts will not be accepted. When submitting your abstract, choose the most relevant topic. However, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to decide on a final topic assignment upon abstract selection. Download the abstract template.

  • Abstracts must be written in English and should be checked by a native English speaker before submission.
  • First author MUST be the presenting author and MUST be registered
  • Abstracts from presenting authors who are not registered to attend the Meeting WILL NOT be accepted.
  • File format: Save abstract in Microsoft format under name file “Last name-date” (.doc or .docx).
  • Abstracts are limited to a maximum of 1 DIN A4 page and should be informative, containing definitive results.
  • Font: Arial 11 pt, except for the title (Arial black, 14 pt), references and acknowledgements (Arial, 9 pt).
  • Title: No more than 20 words, Arial black, 14 pt.
  • Authors’ Names: Initials and surnames of all authors, Arial 12pt. The presenting author(s) underlined.
  • Affiliations(s): Arial 10 pt, italics. When the authors come from different institutions, mark their affiliations by superscripted numbers.
  • Body text: Arial 11 pt, justified paragraph, single spacing.
  • References: Arial 9 pt, single spacing.
  • Acknowledgements: Arial 9 pt, single spacing.
  • The abstract may contain tables, figures or chemical structures. Note: per abstract not more than one figure (jpg, jpeg, gif, png format) or table should be uploaded. Maximum size of figures is 1Mb.
