GOIS LAB

We are located at the Pharmacy Faculty of the Lisbon University and our research interests span over the interface of organic chemistry and biology. We aim at discovering innovative chemical methods to access functional molecular complexity to address important biological problems in the areas of oncology, inflammation and infectious diseases.

RESEARCH THEMES

Development of new bioconjugation methods to reversibly functionalize proteins and their use in the construction of smart bioconjugates.

Design of boron complexes and their use as multivalent functional platforms.

New synthetic methodologies for the preparation of small molecules for medicinal chemistry uses and functionalization of biological systems.
